Development: producer Ken Davenport has acquired the rights to a musical about the life of singer and activist Harry Belafonte; "Knoxville", a new Ahrens and Flaherty musical, will premiere at Asolo Rep in Sarasota, Florida; and a musical adaption of "Into the Wild" received a reading last week

RIP: acclaimed stage and film actor Albert Finney is dead at 82, and Cy Lee, author of the novel "Flower Drum Song" that inspired the musical, is dead at 102
