News: 4 new musicals wending their way toward Broadway made news this past week: 1) Alanis Morissette’s "Jagged Little Pill" will open on Broadway this fall, following a production at American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge last summer; 2) "Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough", the Michael Jackson musical, will play Chicago this fall before Broadway in 2020; 3) a musical version of the film "Magic Mike" will premiere in Boston this fall before Broadway in 2020; and 4) La Jolla Playhouse will present the Broadway-bound musical "Fly", a new take on the Peter Pan story, in winter 2020
Casting: Eva Noblezada, Reeve Carney, Amber Gray, André De Shields, and Patrick Page will star in "Hadestown" on Broadway (read my review of the London production)
