  • "Pipeline" was a superb new play, but closed on Sunday
  • "Dear Evan Hansen"'s wunderkid Ben Platt announced his much anticipated replacement will be Taylor Trensch, who currently stars as Barnaby Tucker in "Hello, Dolly!"; Trensch takes over the role in mid-January, until then, understudy Noah Galvin will be waving through a window 8 times a week 
  • Legendary bookwriter Thomas Meehan passed away at age 88; Meehan penned the books to "Annie", "The Producers", and "Hairspray", among others 
  • John Leguizamo's remarkable one man show "Latin History for Morons", which played at the Public Theater downtown last spring, is headed to Broadway; this is one you will not want to miss
