- Tony Winner Ben Platt played his final performance in "Dear Evan Hansen" on Sunday, capping a 3.5 year journey with the show, and the response from the theatre community was overwhelming; replacement Noah Galvin starts a limited run on Tuesday, followed by "Hello, Dolly!"'s Taylor Trensch in January; the three Evans made a fun music video together back in October to mark the passing of the torch.
- According to Broadway columnist Michael Riedel, there might be dueling productions of "42nd Street" eyeing the Great White Way: London's acclaimed production at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane vs. Chicago's acclaimed production at (oddly enough) the Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook Terrace. Either way, New York is ready.
